| Britta and her husband, Garrett, began Photography by Britta in 2002. Britta discovered her love for the art while in college at Brigham Young University where she received her Visual Arts degree. Her main passion is photographing children. In 2002, she and her husband traveled to the Philippines to work for UNICEF (The United Nations Children’s Fund) where she completed a project photographing the beautiful children of the Philippines (see her
gallery link to view these images). As a mother of two boys, she understands what is required to capture children in comfortable settings to allow for natural emotion. She is not invasive and does very little posing. This carries over into her wedding and family portraiture as well. While posing is necessary in some situations, she is still able to make her subjects look natural and unforced, and she works hard to capture those truly one-of-a-kind moments and expressions. |
